Strategy and implementation from A to Z

This was quite the dream project. Upon walking in, SUITSUIT’s founder Emile said to Nina: “Take us by the hand and show us what to do.” She designed SUITSUIT’s sustainability journey from A to Z.

Together, we decided to aim for the highest. SUITSUIT would set very ambitious sustainability targets on all facets. Environment, social and governance. For all stakeholders: the planet, their employees, the community, supply chain, and their customers. Our trajectory was rewarded with a B Corp certification.

A selection of our work

It’s difficult to summarize all the things we helped SUITSUIT with (because it’s a lot) but we’ll try. 

  • Calculated SUITSUIT's organisational footprint following the GHG Protocol. We developed a tool with which this exercise can be replicated yearly with minimal effort.
  • Developed a dynamic LCA-based product impact model, to determine and compare the environmental impact of every design decision for all products. With this tool in hands, SUITSUIT is now making real-life changes to their products, to make them more sustainable step by step. 
  • The outcomes of the LCA will also be used to publish product passports showing the environmental footprint of their products.
  • We co-created SUITSUIT’s very first impact report, together with the team. 
  • Helped implement some major changes to employee benefits, like unlimited and anonymous access to psychologists for all employees and their friends and family. 
  • We helped set-up the SUITSUIT Foundation, a plan that had been marinating in the directors’ minds for a long time, that was now finally brought to life. 

Collective effort and knowledge transfer

We didn't do this in isolation. We worked closely together with SUITSUIT colleagues, implementing all initiatives together. We focussed on educating them, so that they can continue their sustainability journey once we move on. Colleagues that weren’t directly involved were kept up-to-date in monthly newsletters. 

While we were active at SUITSUIT, a dedicated sustainability manager was promoted within the company. We're now working to get her up to speed, so we can slowly decrease our work for SUITSUIT. But we'll probably continue helping them out here and there, at least until mid 2025.
